The Etymology Of Maladies

Inspired by old words and beautiful translations for words we do not have in the English dialect. I curated this anthology in the style of a poetic dictionary. Click the button to read more!

There are words that arrive like old friends, unexpected yet deeply familiar. For me, they have been the enduring echoes of various tongues, each phrase a small key unlocking a larger understanding of where I stand in this moment. This collection is a testament to that unfolding – how the whispers of the past, carried through different cultures and ages, can find fresh resonance in the present; how ancient wisdom, regardless of its origin, can tenderly illuminate the very human landscape of a life lived now. These poems are a conversation across time and cultures, a recognition that some truths, like some words, simply refuse to fade.
